I have solar powered security lights around our home and they're great. That's as far as I go with solar. I would never let some yahoo's, who won't be around in a year or two, to screw insanely expensive solar panels to our roof. Zero chance of that happening.

I am so glad I added insulation to the attic, and insulated the attic door. Then when we redid the roof, we bought 30 year shingles that transfer if we move and added a ridge vent to help the attic. It has made such a difference!

Well here's a good one for you Dan. My f350 platinum 100k+ truck i just got a recall letter that my steering colume may brake. Mind you if you have a huge truck like this your apt to go down a few bumby dirt roads and tow heavy stuff….Yep—there are active Ford Super Duty steering-wheel/column recalls that include the F-350 (including chassis cab/super-duty variants), and at least one notice says the full repair kits aren’t expected until next year—so some owners may not get the fix until next year.

Steering column upper-shaft recall (25S94 / NHTSA 25V626): On some 2020–2021 Super Duty trucks (F-250/F-350/F-450), the steering-column upper shaft can separate, causing loss of steering. Ford/NHTSA documents confirm the recall and that Ford will inspect and repair/replace components. Media summaries note owner warning letters in October and remedy letters by year’s end, implying some repairs may slide into next year depending on parts flow.

    About timing/parts “by next year”:

Coverage of the 25V626/25S94 recall says follow-up remedy letters are expected by the end of the year, which aligns with dealers getting parts late-year and some owners not being scheduled until early next year. (Car and Driver)

Good thing I sold it a month back….letter in trash. No longer needed for my business.
