Gold IRA vs. Traditional IRA: The Liquidity Difference

[ad_2]
The Investor’s Insight frames the same broad comparison from a different angle: liquidity. A Traditional IRA holding stocks or funds can usually be sold and settled within a few business days; a Gold IRA holding physical metal has to go through the custodian and depository to liquidate, which can take longer and may involve a buyback spread on top. Both are still IRAs in every other respect – same 2026 contribution limits, same age-59½ distribution rules – the metal in one just isn’t as instantly liquid as shares in the other.
