How to Add Gold to an Existing IRA or 401(k)

[ad_2]
This second video from Gold Investing Guides covers a slightly different question than their rollover guide: how to add gold to an existing IRA or 401(k) rather than moving the whole balance. In practice, that usually means opening a separate self-directed Gold IRA and rolling over just a portion of an old 401(k) or IRA into it, since a standard 401(k) plan typically can’t hold physical metal directly. Whatever portion moves over, it still has to go into IRS-approved gold under IRC Section 408(m).
