This post’s source video is analyst commentary from Lobo Tiggre (Investing News Network) on gold and oil prices during active geopolitical conflict, not Gold IRA-specific content — it landed in this category because of the general precious-metals topic, not because it discusses IRA rules. Treat market-timing and commodity-shopping-list calls like this as one analyst’s attributed opinion, not verified fact or investment advice.
The Honest Takeaway for Retirement Investors
Geopolitical conflict is a real, recurring driver of short-term commodity price volatility in both gold and oil — that part is well documented. Which direction any single analyst thinks prices are headed next, or which specific commodities they’re currently buying, is a forecast, not a fact, and forecasts about geopolitically-driven commodity moves have a poor track record of consistency across analysts.
If You’re Considering a Gold Allocation Regardless of the Headlines
The mechanics don’t change based on any single week’s geopolitical news: a Gold IRA still requires an IRS-approved custodian and depository under 26 U.S.C. §408(m)(3), with a 99.5% purity minimum for gold. Reacting to wartime headlines by timing a large purchase is a different decision than holding a modest, rebalanced allocation for diversification — and only the latter has real historical support as a strategy.
Trying my best. Trying my best. Next time you'll know…
Charlotte is the best interviewer in any discipline. Imagine if TV and the mass media had a few dozen Charlottes. She gets these people to open up their brains and explain all their thoughts, because they must meet her English language standard and communication standard.
Used to be a normal thing, but somehow the world lost it despite high-definition images, graphics, and almost perfect video production.
She's a surgeon.
If she moved to macroeconomics from commodities, she would be globally known. It may happen, if commodities balloon.
Lobo, your local coin shop will buy Platinum and Palladium, and they will give you a better price when buying Platinum compared to the discount back of spot on Silver
I am NOT investing in platinum or palladium. This isn't because I don't think it's a good investment but rather because I don't have the time to research everything and right now I'm heavily concentrated in Gold, Silver, Copper, Oil, and Uranium….it can take a lifetime to really just understand those 5!
Oil will spike with this war with Iran, but it's important to note that the war when it's over will "suddenly end!" This sudden end will make oil prices drop through the floor, so I still maintain that the better stocks to buy are stocks like EQX and CDE. My plan is to wait for them to significantly rise over the course of maybe the next 8 months and then sell 'some' and buy into companies like ET, PBR, and NOG.
Here it is on Monday night. Prices of gold & silver bounced a bit, but were mostly flat. Same for mining stocks. I think most people are in a wait and see mode.
❓Are you investing in platinum and palladium? Tell us in the comments!
